Phone Basic Operation
USE OF HEADPHONES OR SPEAKERS
1) Use the “Speaker” button to turn on/off the speaker.
2) Use the “Headset” button to use the headphones, once they are connected.
MAKE A CALL
1) Pick up the handset or headset, or press the “Speaker” button or an available line (activates the speakerphone).
2) The line will have a dial tone and the line's LED will turn green.
3) If you wish, you can select another line (alternate SIP account).
4) Dial the phone number.
5) Press “Send” button or the “DIAL” function key.
REDIALED
1) Pick up the phone.
2) Press “Send” button or the “REDIAL” function key.
Note: The phone will drop again using the same SIP account that was used in the last call.
ANSWERING CALLS
Single incoming call:
1) Answer the call by picking up the handset or headset, or by pressing “Speaker” or the button for the line the call is coming through.
Multiple incoming calls:
1) When there is a call waiting, users will hear a call waiting tone.
2) The next available line will flash red.
3) Answer the incoming call by pressing the ringing line button.
4) The call-in progress will be put on hold.
5) Switch between one call and another using the LINE button.
END A CALL
Hang up by pressing the “End Call” function key or hang up the phone.
HOLD/RECALL CALL
1) Hold: Hold a call by pressing the “Hold” button.
2) Retrieve the call: Retrieve the call by pressing the flashing line.
CALL TRANSFER
Suppose you are on the phone and want to transfer the call to someone else.
Blind transfer:
1) Press the “Transfer” button.
2) Dial the number and press “Send” button to complete the transfer of the current call.
Assisted Transfer:
1) Press an idle line to make a new call and on the active line the call will be automatically put on hold.
2) When a call is made, press the “sfer” button and then the line button (LINE) of the line on hold, to transfer the call.
3) Once the call is transferred, the screen will indicate that the phone is idle.
Self-Attended Transfer:
1) From the Web interface, set the option “Tranf. Self-Attended” to “Yes”.
2) Establish a call.
3) Press the transfer key , the current call will be put on hold automatically.
4) Dial the number and press the Send key .
5) Press transfer key again to transfer.
3-WAY CONFERENCE
Start a conference call:
Suppose you are already on a call and want to add a third party to a 3-way conference.
1) Press the conference button to open the conference dial screen.
2) Dial the number of the third participant and press the “SEND” key.
3) When communication with the third party is established, press the “ConfCall” softkey to start the 3-way conference.
Cancel a conference call:
1) Press the “Cancel” soft key on a conference dial screen to resume the two-way conversation.
Hold the conference call:
1) Press the “Hold” button to put the conference call on hold, putting all participants on hold.
2) Press “ReConf” function key to resume the conference call; or select the flashing line to speak with a single participant.
End the conference:
The conference will end for all three participants if the person who initiated the conference hangs up or presses the “EndCall” softkey.
VOICEMAIL
A flashing red light (MWI, Message Waiting Indicator) indicates that a message is waiting.
1) Press the “Message” button to retrieve the message. The voice menu will give instructions to retrieve the message. Enter the voicemail PIN of the region to which your clinic belongs. (To know the PIN voicemail of your region, contact your manager)
2) Press a line to retrieve messages for the line on that account.
SILENCE/CLEAR
1) Press the MUTE button to turn mute mode on and off.
2) The “Mute” icon indicates when the microphone is muted.
VOLUME ADJUSTMENTS
Use the volume button to adjust the ringer volume when the phone is not in use.
Press the volume button during a call to adjust the volume of the call.
